Program Description

The Bachelor in Hotel Management (BHM) is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required for a successful career in the hospitality and tourism industry. Spanning eight semesters, the curriculum integrates foundational management concepts, specialized hospitality operations, culinary arts, food and beverage service, and essential business skills. The program emphasizes both theoretical learning and hands-on training through practical courses, internships, and industry attachments, ensuring graduates are industry-ready and capable of excelling in diverse hospitality environments. With a blend of core subjects, electives, and real-world exposure, the BHM program prepares students to take on leadership roles in hotels, resorts, restaurants, event management companies, and other sectors of the hospitality industry.

Program Objectives

The main objectives of the BHM program are to:

  1. Provide students with a strong foundation in management principles, organizational behavior, and strategic decision-making relevant to the hospitality sector.
  2. Equip students with in-depth knowledge of hospitality operations, including front office, housekeeping, food production, food and beverage service, bakery, and event management.
  3. Foster hands-on skills through practical courses, culinary labs, and internships, enabling students to apply theoretical concepts in real-world hospitality settings.
  4. Strengthen students’ business communication, interpersonal, and soft skills essential for effective guest service and teamwork in multicultural environments.
  5. Inspire innovation and entrepreneurship in hospitality and tourism, and develop research skills for problem-solving and continuous improvement in the industry.
  6. Inculcate a sense of professional ethics, legal awareness, and sustainable business practices to promote responsible management in hospitality.
  7. Prepare graduates for supervisory and managerial positions, as well as for further studies and professional development in the global hospitality industry.
